I'm Dave Jones and you're reading my personal blog.  I've been a PR guy since 1991 and involved with social media's intersection with PR since 2005.  Currently, I'm the VP, Digital Communications at Hill & Knowlton Toronto.

Since 1991, when I graduated from Ryerson University Journalism School in Toronto, I've worked in the public relations field.  I've done everything from publicity and special events to corporate communications and issues management.

I've worked in sports (my first love) and the beer business (guy heaven), but most of my career has been spent on the agency side where I've been lucky to work with dozens of well-known brands and organizations on a variety of communications challenges.

Since 2005, I've been exploring the opportunities and challenges that social media bring to the PR business and have been working full time in social media and online PR since joining Hill & Knowlton's global digital team as VP and Group Leader, Digital Communications in the Toronto office where we've developed social media strategies for an amazing roster of clients that include HP, Molson, Motorola, Waterfront Toronto, Ontario Cabinet Office and [yellowtail] wines.
